Manaslu Trekking has only recently been opened as trekking area. It is situated in the central Gorkha district bordering Tibet, the region is extremely rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage. This trek offers the dedicated trekker a genuine adventure into a remote wilderness, untouched by the effects of tourism. Manaslu circumnavigates the mighty Manasulu (8,156m), the eighth highest mountain in the world. Trekers start this trek from the fascinating old city of Gorkha, the ancient kingdom of the Shah Dynasty that has a mixed Hindu and Buddhist culture.You follow the course of the Budhi Gandaki River valley, crossing its thundering waters on various types of rope and suspension bridge, passing underneath towering rock cliffs, and through dense jungle. The topography changes each day, as you ascend through a number of climatic zones into rugged territory. You soon join the barren lunar landscape of the Tibetan plateau, where monasteries, temples and mani walls line the trail climbing further through alpine wilderness, you will gain stunning and rarely seen views of Manasulu. The Larkya La is your highest point of this trek at 5,235m, from where you gain unsurpassed views of Himlung Himal (7,126m), Kang Guru (7,010m) and Annapurna II. You will descend to the Marsayangdi river valley and onto Besisahar from where we catch our minibus back to Kathmandu.This long and demanding camping trek is a wonderful alternative to the Annapurna circuit. This Manasulu Eco-Tourism Development Project, working in c-operation with the King Mahendra Trust for Nature Conservation has made great efforts to preserve the pristine beauty of this region.

Day 04: Trek to Seti Khola / Khanchowk.
Day 05: Trek to Machha khola.
Day 06: Trek to Jagat.
Day 07: Trek to Ngyak.
Day 08: Trek to Ghap.
Day 09: Trek to Lho Gaon.
Day 10: Trek to Sama Gompa .
Day 11: Acclimatization day.
Day 12: Trek to Samdo
Day 13: Trek to Dharmasala.
Day 14: Trek to Larke Phedi-Larkya la pass / Bhimathang .
Day 15: Trek to Karche .
Day 16: Trek to Dharapani
Day 17: Trek to Syange
Day 18: Trek to Besisahar
Day 19: Besisahar - Dumre – Kathmandu
Day 20: In Kathmandu
Day 21: Transfer to Airport for your onward destination.
