There are many trekking routes to explore the Himalayan nature and people in this Everest Region. Some popular and commom trekking routes are mentioned in our Everest Region Trekking programs. Everest view trekking program is one of the most common and popular trekking routes of this Everest Region.
Our Everest view trekking program is a short but fantastic classic trek to the Everest region. This trek is a very good idea for not having longer holidays. Everest view trekking offers classic, close views of Everest and other Khumbu mountains as well as cultural insight on the lives of the legendary Sherpas of the Everest region.
This trek is the shortest trek of the Everest Region and it provides close-up views of Mt. Everest and a chance to spend time in the Sherpa villages. You will reach a maximum altitude of 4100m requiring a moderate level of physical fitness to complete this trek comfortably. The trek takes us through the lush vegetation of Sagarmatha National Park, with pine forests, rhododendron flowers and an abundance of wildlife. You will visit Namche Bazaar in order to acclimatize to higher altitudes. The following days trekking will bring us to the village of Tengboche (3930m), home to the highest Buddhist monastery in the world (4100m) and, according to photographers, one of the best places to capture the magnificence of Mt. Everest (8848m) and its neighboring peaks. The concluding days of this trek will be spent in the delightful and scenic villages of Khunde (3500m) and Khumjung, where you will have the opportunity to interact with the legendary Sherpa people and participate in their astonishing traditional lifestyle. Back down to Lukla to take a short flight back to Kathmandu.
Our journey begins from Kathmandu, the Capital of Nepal. We take an exciting mountain flight to Lukla from Kathmandu or drive to Jiri and start the journey up to the destination. We walk through the Dudh Kosi Valley which is surrounded by the soaring peaks of Thamserku and Kusum Kanguru. When we leave the valley the way is a steep ascent to Namche Bazaar - hub of the Khumbu Sherpas where we are again greeted by spectacular views of mountains. While a rest day here aids acclimatization there are great optional walks to enjoy the area. We then follow the trail to famous Tengboche which is situated on a high ridge. It is a place from where a magnificent sight of Everest, the Lhotse-Nuptse Wall, Ama Dablam and Kantega can be seen and this peaceful and spiritual location is surely one of the most tranquil and inspiring places in the world.
While passing the way views of Everest get closer day by day. This eye-catching trek leads usup to the Tenboche where is the best recognised view-point to see Mount Everest. To be closer with Mt Everest is a main goal of many adventurous walkers in this Everest Region. After having finished trek we return back to Kathmandu via similar way.
